Jason Muise is an Austere Medicine Specialist and Professional Adventurer with a passion for exploration and a proven track record of delivering expert medical care in extreme environments around the world.
As an outgoing and strategic professional who has dedicated his career to honing his craft and leading others, Jason has visited over 43 US states and 28 countries across six continents. He’s a seasoned mountaineer and SCUBA diver who has explored some of the world’s harshest locations, backpacked through The Cimarron in New Mexico, swam with tiger sharks, and summited peaks across North and South America.
With his single-minded focus and his commitment to rendering high-level medical care in challenging situations, Jason is always pushing boundaries, learning new skills, and transforming organizations. He holds over half a dozen professional certifications, a B.S in nursing, a Diploma in Mountain Medicine, and he’s a fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.

Jason graduated from the Academy of Wilderness Medicine's Fellowship program and also received his UIAA Diploma in Mountain Medicine, a coveted international rescue certification.
2017
EXPEDITION TESTED
South to North
In a mere six months, Jason served as the Expedition Medical Officer for Expeditions to Argentina and Alaska, responsible for all aspects of health and safety.
2015
UPWARD!
American Alpine Institute
In 2015 Jason traveled to Ecuador under the tutelage of AAI Guide Jeremy Devine to begin training in Alpinism. Jason continued this partnership with Jeremy training in the North Cascades.

In 2007 Jason began the lifelong process of training to be a professional Soldier. This training has served Jason well in the Deserts, Jungles, Mountains, and Forests of the world. From small team leadership to large organization logistics Jason has experience in all facets of Expedition Planning and Execution.

A New Mentorship
Under the close guidance and mentorship of Army Ranger Jon McClean, Jason embarked on his apprenticeship as an adventure photographer. Rambling across the mountains, lakes, and oceans of the southeast Jason built his style and rhythm coexisting with a camera in the outdoors.

A Lifetime of Training
From an early age, Jason was raised in the outdoors. Participating in scouts, Jason's father provided a unique mentorship that only a veteran Marine Operator could instill.
